At the traverse bar (10) spacers (12) are inserted and their ends hold retaining sleeves (18) for inserting sections (22). There are through bores (14) for securing inserting brackets (20) of plug connectors (16) for inserting further scaffolding elements on the traverse bar. Pref. the traverse bar has a rectangular cross-section, locating bolts (12) on its outer long sides, which protrude with half thin length. The bolts are arranged in pairs, in quadratic configuration opposite each other.
