STABLE LIQUID COMPOSITION CONTAINING URIC ACID OXIDASE AND FREEZE-DRYING COMPOSITION FOR ITS PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clear and stable liquid composition containing a urate oxidase. SOLUTION: This liquid composition comprises a urate oxidase and 0.1-10mg/ml Poloxamer 188 (R) in a buffered aqueous medium (e.g. a sodium phosphate buffer solution). Furthermore, 1-50mg/ml alanine and 1-50mg/ml mannitol are contained therein. The Poloxamer 188 (R) is a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. The concentration of the buffer solution is 5-100mM and the composition is clear and physically and chemically stable after regulation of the pH to 7.5-8.5 and preservation thereof at 25 deg.C for 48hr to 1 year. The composition can be prepared as a subcutaneous, an intravenous and an intramuscular parenteral injections. The composition is obtained by dissolving the freeze-dried substance containing the urate oxidase in an aqueous solvent.
