PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient and stable various revolution hydraulic power generating system which generates a power for a power utilizing system. SOLUTION: The revolution of an asynchronous rotary current transformer 50 which is coupled with a hydraulic turbine generator 70 is controlled by a controller 42 with a signal hmeas which expresses a heat and the guide vane positions of the hydraulic turbine generator 70 are also controlled by the controller 42 to obtain a required output power level from the hydraulic turbine generator. The required output power level is applied to a power utilizing system 72 from the hydraulic turbine generator 70 through the rotary current transformer. In one of the examples, the controller accesses a reprogrammable memory which stores hydraulic power Hill-chart information. In another example, the controller includes a real time automatic governor which controls the output power level of the rotary current transformer by using a signal which expresses the frequency of the AC power transmission to the power utilizing system.
