PURPOSE: To provide a power converter for electric vehicles which can cool efficiently respective electronic parts mounted in arbitrary positions on its heat sink. CONSTITUTION: On the flat surface of a heat sink 10 made of a good heat conductive member on whose rear surface many cooling grooves are formed, semiconductor electronic parts are provided, and on the rear surface of the heat sink a base 12 is fixed, and further, in the space configured out of the rear surface of the heat sink and the base a cooling groove portion for feeding and circulating a cooling water for cooling the semiconductor electronic parts is provided, and moreover, cooling water inlet and outlet pipes are connected respectively with the cooling groove portion via flow dividing and joining tanks. The groove portion for the cooling water comprises a plurality of grooves for making the cooling waters flow among many parallel thin fins serving as heat exchanging fins, and the flow dividing tank has the function of an inlet distributor for guiding the cooling waters uniformly into the respective grooves of the groove portion for the cooling water. |
