<p>A business graphics rendering technique for rendering colors in color images more vividly. The RGB values received are linearized (S904) and transformed into HLS (S905). Next, the saturation is adjusted (S906), the hue is corrected (S908) and then the RGB values are converted to CMY values (S908). The business graphics rendering technique then determines, for each color in a color image, whether the color is chromatic color or an achromatic neutral color (S909). For chromatic color, color contast is increased (S910) by increasing ink amounts for high-value ink amount color and/or decreasing ink amounts for low-value ink amount colors. For an achromatic neutral color, ink amounts are left essentially unaltered.</p> |
