<p>PURPOSE: To provide a spacer for electric wire without deterioration of electrical insulation performance due to intrusion of, for example, moisture, water, and contaminant between constitution members by preventing the intrusion. CONSTITUTION: A spacer for electric wire has an insulating core 11, an insulating elastic cover 12 for covering the outer periphery of the core body 11, a pair of closed-end cylindrical bodies 13 which are formed in one piece coaxially of the same material as the cover 12, a pair of closed-end cylindrical mounting metal fittings 14 which have a connection means which is connected to a support member being provided at an electric wire at a tip part, are engaged and sealed to each edge part of the core 11, and are attached to the outer periphery of each edge part of the core body 11 and the outer periphery of each edge part of the cover 12, and a pair of insulating shields 15 which are provided at the outer periphery of the mounting metal fitting 14 or the cover 12 and oppose the opening of a cylindrical body 13. The opening of the junction interface between the constituting members is completely blocked, thus preventing, for example, moisture, water, and contaminated substance from intruding from the clearance of the opening.</p> |
