PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition containing a specificα-sulfofatty acid derivative-based surfactant, an abradant and water, effective for cloudiness of glass tableware, scorching and sticking to a pan, etc., tea incrustations, etc., excellent in cleaning performances to oil and fat stain. CONSTITUTION: This hard surface polishing detergent composition (A) anα- sulfofatty acid derivative-based surfactant of the formula (R<1> is a 4-16C alkyl; R<2> is H or a 1-3C alkyl; AO is a lower alkyleneoxy; M<1> is H or a salt-forming ion; (m) is >=1) [e.g. methoxyethylene glycol (α-sulfolauric acid) ester Na salt, etc.], (B) an abradant having 2-8 Mohs hardness (e.g. calcium carbonate having about 1-40 particle diameter) and (C) water. The ratio of the components used, for example, is 60-85wt.% of the component A, 10-40wt.% of the component B and the weight ratio of the component A and the component B is preferably 85/15 to 60/40. |
