<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-finished product, wherein a data carrier having a completely flat covering layer can be obtained and the data carrier is manufactured. SOLUTION: A semi-finished product is suitable for the installation of a data carrier 61 provided with an electronic module including at least an integrated circuit and a coil 2, which is electrically connected with the integrated circuit, the coil is arranged between two carrier layers 38 and 39, the integrated circuit is arranged in a cavity specially provided in the two carrier layers and a cavity, which is left in the layers 38 and 39 and on the integrated circuit, is filled with a filling material 42 so that flat surfaces, which are made to be flush with the surfaces of the layers 38 and 39, are respectively obtained on the upper and lower surfaces of the region of the cavity.</p> |
