PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new peptide having anti-inflammatory and immunodepression actions and useful as an anti-inflammatory drug effective for curing of inflammatory diseases, rejection in organ transplantation, etc., and an immunosuppression agent, etc., by having an amino acid sequence corresponding to a phosphorylating position of IκBα. CONSTITUTION: This new peptide (salt) has an amino acid sequence corresponding to a phosphorylating position of IκBαand is expressed by formula I-formula IV, etc. The peptide has an anti-inflammatory action and an immunodepression action and is useful for curing of inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, articular rheumatism, nephritis, cardiac infarction, asthma and chronic pulmonary emphysema or suppression, etc., of rejection in bone marrow transplantation and organ transplantation, etc. The peptide is obtained by separating whole RNA from lipopolysaccharide-stimulating human peripheral blood mononuclear corpuscle, performing a reverse transcriptase-PCR method by using a specific primer in a base sequence near initiating codon and termination codon in human IκBαby using the separated whole RNA to obtain cDNA in human IκBα, bonding the resultant cDNA to a vector and manifesting in a host cell. |
