SPIRAL PIPE OF CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method to manufacture a spiral pipe of a cross-linked polyethylene having an improved size stability, at a high productivity. CONSTITUTION: A nonreaction material including a polyethylene and its cross- linking agent is fed to a making machine 3, and a process to extruding form a pipe compact 4 which consists of a cross-linked polyethylene with a cross- linking degree having a gel ratio of 75% or more a process to wind the cross- linked polyethylene pipe compact in the molten condition to a winding member 6 in a spiral form; and a process to cool and solidity the compact of the cross- linked polyethylene pipe wound in a spiral form, simultaneously with the winding process or after the winding process; are provided.
