FIBER-TREATING AGENT AND FINISHING OF CELLULOSE-BASED FIBER USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: To reduce occurrence of free formaldehyde from finished fiber without bringing out lowering of finishing effect or lowering of chlorine resistance and light resistance in finishing a fiber using a methyloldihydroxyethyleneurea(MDHEU)-based compound. CONSTITUTION: A treating bath containing a fiber-treating agent containing a MDHEU-based compound which is methylolated in a range of 1.2-1.9mol based on 1mol of ethyleneurea ring and diethylene glycol in an amount of >=0.1 pts.wt. based on 1 pts.wt. of the MDHEU-based compound and an acidic catalyst is applied at pH2.5-5 to a cellulosic fiber to finish the cellulosic fiber.
