发明名称 FRICTION PRESS WELDING METHOD FOR TUNGSTEN-BASE METALLIC MATERIAL AND COPPER-BASE METALLIC MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a joining method having good joint strength approximate to the strength of a copper-base metallic material in friction pressure welding of a tungsten-base metallic material and the copper-base metallic material. CONSTITUTION: The joint having the good joint strength to cause rupture near the base metal part of the copper-base metallic material in tension test is produced if the tungsten-base metallic material and the copper-base metallic material are subjected to friction press welding by interposing a niobium-base metallic material as an insert material (a method of using a foil material or of forming a film by an ion plating method, plating method, etc., is equally well) between the groove faces to be joined. The joint strength (the tensile strength is fairly lower than the tensile strength of the copper-base metallic material and the joint ruptures mainly near the press welding face) in the friction press welding of the tungsten-base metallic material and the copper-base metallic material without using the insert material is improved in the friction press welding method.
