METHOD OF CLASSIFICATION OF ORIENTED FINGER-PRINTS

FIELD: classification of finger-prints. SUBSTANCE: method of classification of oriented finger-prints consists in presentation of oriented central part of finger- print in the form of input matrix of numbers. Each element of it corresponds to value of intensity of signal generated with scanning of finger-print. There are established size of window with which aid input matrix of numbers is looked through, initial position of window on matrix, direction of examination and spacing of window movement. Region of search for delta-shaped element of papillary pattern is set in lower left and lower right quadrants of input matrix of numbers. Point P is determined on bisector of right angle of each of two quadrants where center of window is set. Size of window is K times less than width of search region. By possibility of presence of delta-shaped element in at least two of three windows presence/absence of delta-shaped element in left and right quadrants is determined. Then finger-print is classified. EFFECT: improved authenticity of method.
