FIELD: devices for information display. SUBSTANCE: device has matrix field emission point screen which has equal-potential anode and is covered with corresponding cathode-luminescent coating. Screen is designed using diodes and has plates. Surface of one plate has anode groups of elements which insulated and are arranged in columns or rows. surface of second plate has perpendicular anode groups of cathode electrodes which are based on point field emission cathodes. Distance X between point part of cathode and outer surface of luminescent screen conforms to conditions given in invention specification. The goal of invention is accomplished by exclusion of control electrode. Device may be used in design of universal indicators which display arbitrary information, including digital, character, graphical one. EFFECT: decreased power consumption. |
