PURPOSE: To provide a method an apparatus for sterilizing powdery edibles reliably in a short time. CONSTITUTION: It is so arranged to include a closable sterilization container 2 sealed with powdery edibles M, a microwave generator 3 for supplying a microwave for heating the powdery edibles M into the sterilization container 2 and a boiler 4 for supplying pressure steam into the sterilization container 2. The apparatus is also provided with a stirrer to diffuse the microwave and an electric motor 26a to rotate an agitation blade for stirring up the powdery edibles M is the sterilization container 2. |
