Bead sealing device with electronic control for plastic bags

The device comprises two metallic closure elements (3,4) each enclosing a resistive heating element set in a PTFE block facing a slot (5). Energy is concentrated into the end of a plastic bag containing the wares chosen by a purchaser. The mouth of the bag is rolled and slid into the slot where it is partly fused and then closed. One element (4) features a spring-loaded bar (16) movable in a groove (17) along the slot when the bag is inserted. A limit switch (18) at the lower end transmits signals via a connector (15) to instigate weighing and labelling operations.
