PURPOSE: To provide a lubricative chromating composition for forming a stable lubricative chromate film excellent in corrosion resistance and coating stability on a metallic material and to provide a treating method using the composition. CONSTITUTION: A processing soln. contg. an aq. emulsion emulsified by an emulsifier contg. the nonionic-anionic combined surfactant having combined hydrophilic groups with the lubricant component contg. wax or a fluorine-contg. org. compd. consisting of a nonionic part consisting of at least one member selected from a polyethylene glycol group and a group consisting of >=2 molecules of an EO addition polymer and an anionic group, chromium (VI) ion and chromium (III) ion is prepared.
