Process for mfg. a touch-and-close fastener-knit entails making a back-and-face basic knit from a first stretchable thread (3) with a partial knit having long pulled-out stitches (5') of a second thermoplastic thread (5) so the following hold: a) each pulled-out stitch foot is bound-in directly by the basic stitch legs and their heads held firmly by at least one removable thread (7); b) two basic sections alternate with one another, i.e. the first (I) is orientated on a face (A, B) differently from the face orientation (B, A) in the second section (II) and, in one section, the orientations of the basic stitch heads and the pulled-out stitches are different and c) extended drawn-out stitches are thermo-fixed at a defined temp., removable threads being removed and then, standing proud, are cut on both knit sides. Also claimed is a process for prodn. of the knit (1), i.e. omitting step c). Also claimed is the touch-and-close fastening-knit with hooks on both sides. Also claimed is i ts application as a non-slip brake.
