<p>PURPOSE: To support an operation of a water gate and also the optimum opera tion of a pump based on the water levels on the main and tributary rivers which are measured at a place near a drainage pump station. CONSTITUTION: A drainage pumping station 3 and a tailrace 1A having a water gate 4 are located at a point where a tributary river 1 flows into a main river 2. The river 1 is provided with a water level recorder 5 and a rain fall gauge 7, and the river 2 is provided with a water level recorder 6 and a rain fall gauge 8 respectively. In such a constitution, a means is added to calculate the estimated water levels of both rivers 1 and 2 from the measurement value of those gauges 5 to 8 and also calculates a flow rate of the water that flows into the river 2 from the river 1 via the tailrace 1A and according to the opening degree of the gate 4 based on those estimated water levels, together with a means which calculates the level changes of both rivers 1 and 2 at a place near the station 3 based on the calculated flow rate of water, and a means which estimates a time point when a counter flow is caused at the gate 4 on the level changes of both rivers and also decides the optimum open-close timing of the gate 4 on the estimated time point when the counter flow is caused.</p> |
