<p>PURPOSE: To provide a bar code encoding system with which the probability to disable the correction of error generated in the case of reading a printed code can be reduced as much as possible. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a character/symbol converting part 21 for expressing an inputted character as an information symbol composed of (m) bits not including all '0', read Solomon encoding part 22 for gathering (k) pieces of information symbols, defining them as an information symbol sequence, performing error correction encoding to this information symbol sequence and calculating a check symbol sequence composed of (n-k) pieces of check symbols, symbol/bar code converting part 24 for converting the respective (n) pieces of symbols to prescribed bar code patterns, and shuffling part 23 for changing the arrangement of (n) pieces of symbols so that the bar code patterns corresponding to the check symbols are not arranged continuously more than three.</p> |
