PURPOSE: To provide a rotary seal excellent in a blister resisting property by setting the wall thickness dimension of a corner part of a first seal element unified with a corner part of a fitting like a cover from a refrigerant storage chamber side smaller than that of the other position. CONSTITUTION: A corner part 25 of a first seal element 7 is beveled with straight gradient to set the wall thickness dimension T thereof smaller than that of the other position. Thus, refrigerant once permeating in rubber of the first seal element 7 is diffused quickly when tending to expand (due to temperature rise and pressure variation) while being ejected to the outside-refrigerant chamber side. In the corner part of a fitting, an adhesive force of the first seal element 7 to the corner part 25 is small and cracks are liable to take place in the abrupt expansion of the refrigerant. However, by lessening particularly the wall thickness dimension of this portion, the generation and advance of the crack can be effective prevented, so that a rotary seal excellent in a blister resisting property can be provided. |
