PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of automatically mounting conductive materials for all type of a single line or a plurality of lines of connector shells. SOLUTION: Connector shells 1 to be mounted are continuously fed, spaced along a connector shell guide and a clamp passage, and continuously, stepwisely and independently moved from the delivering position to the mounting position in the feeding direction by at least two grippers 19, 20 to be synchronously moved. Conductive materials are mounted in the positions determined by the connector shell guide and the clamp passage. The connector shells are moved to the releasing position by the grippers whose separating distance related to the connector shell guide and the clamp passage is equivalent to the half of the distance between the delivering position and the releasing position. After the mounted connector shell and the connector shell to be mounted is released, the first and second grippers are moved back and returned to the start position. |
