METHOD AND EQUIMPMENT FOR ULTRASONIC INSPECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic inspection method for and an ultrasonic inspection apparatus for composing parts which are arranged on a wall surface surrounding a gap part and to which ultrasonic waves can be sent only via the gap part. SOLUTION: A carrier 21 loading an ultrasonic inspection head is sent into a gap part 5 and registered to a composing part 1 of the inspection head. The ultrasonic inspection head is projected to the composing part 1 from the carrier 21 in a nearly perpendicular direction to the inserting direction of the carrier 21. Then, ultrasonic waves are projected to the composing part 1. After the ultrasonic inspection, the ultrasonic inspection head is pulled back inside the carrier 21 to a position for a next inspection.
