A mounting assembly usable for instance for mounting a housing (10). The assembly comprising a cruciform opening (28) in the side walls (20, 22) of the housing (10). A respective engagement means (16) is mounted adjacent each opening (28) so as to be pivotable therethrough to provide in one orientation an engagement member (38) facing towards a flange (24) around the housing (10). The engagement means (16) is slidable along the upper stem of the opening (28) through the action of a threaded member engaging in a thread (42) in the engagement means (16) to clamp a wall or similar between the member (38) and flange (24). |
