The watch includes an eccentric hour dial (16) with the hours (12) and minutes (10) hands centred within it. These are driven by an electric motor controlled by a quartz oscillator. The watch also includes a mechanical escapement carried by a rotary cage. The balance wheel of the escapement mechanism is visible through an aperture (36) in the dial (15), giving the watch a particular feature. A second hand is mounted on this section of the watch, with an elastic linkage absorbing differences between the escapement mechanism second hand and the minute hand.
