An arrangement for closing an opening has a leaf 10 which can be shifted between closed and open positions and a barrier pole 20 which, in its closed position, closes the same opening, inside the leaf of the gate or laterally offset therefrom. The leaf 10 and pole 20 both preferably slide horizontally, but alternatively the pole may be rotatably mounted. The pole 20 is a temporary closure wherein the leaf 10 is arranged to be a more permanent closure for the opening. <IMAGE> |
