PURPOSE: To simply obtain the subject compound having promoting actions, etc., on the secretion of insulin with a microorganism by extracting a product of the microorganism prepared by integrating a gene capable of coding glicentin or its analog therein and transforming the microorganism with an acidic aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION: An transformed expressible microorganism prepared by integrating glicentin or its analog comprising a peptide, etc., containing >=29 amino acid sequences in the total amino acid sequence of the glicentin is cultured and the glicentin or its analog produced by the microorganism is extracted from a microbial cell by treating a cell wall or a cell membrane of the microbial cell with an acidic aqueous solution at 10-1000mM concentration of an inorganic acid such as hydrochloric or phosphoric acid and pH<=3 and then separating the microbial cell without pulverizing thereof. Thereby, the objective glicentin or its analog having actions on promotion of the secretion of insulin and an increase on the weight of a small intestinal mucous membrane and length of villi is simply extracted from the microorganism. |
