CATALYST FOR PREPARING 1,1,2-TETRA-FLUOROETHANE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

The chromium catalyst is prepared by making chromium hydroxide from CrO3 and C2H5OH; reacting chromium hydroxide with HF solution for 1hr. at 60-100 deg.C; and calcining it for 3-10hrs. at 300-400 deg.C. The chromium catalyst is used for preparing 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane that has little greenhouse effect on the earth, ozone depletion effect and is the powerful alternative material of CFC-12.
