Transport security device for air spring

The air spring has an outer support tube and inner support tube with a rolling bellows (13) connected to the inner tube through a belt tensioning element. In the finished assembled state of the rolling bellows a transport security member (21) is mounted on the air spring to centre the outer tube relative to the inner tube so as to prevent contact. The transport security member is substantially a circular ring shaped spacer (23) of packing material which engages at least partially round the inner tube. The spacer has a transverse slit (33) so that it can be expanded. Guide webs (29) are formed on the inner diameter (25) of the spacer.
