PURPOSE: A method for utilizing client computer resources and a server therefor are provided to utilize the resources of a client computer connected to an internet server through a computer network after accessing the internet server through a user terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user accesses an internet server through a user terminal(S410). The internet server carries out a user authentication procedure(S415-S430). If it is discriminated that the user is a registered user, the internet server outputs a client computer resource utilization menu to the user terminal(S435). The user selects a desired item among the items of the resource utilization menu and transmits it to the internet server(S440). The internet server synthesizes the selected item into a command the control part of the client computer can recognize(S445). The internet server transmits the synthesized command to the client computer and requests the resource utilization command to the client command(S450). The client computer receives the resource utilization command(S455) and determines an application program to drive and an action executed by the application program(S460). The client computer executes the received command using an API(Application Program Interface)(S465). An execution result is transmitted to the control part through the API(S470). The control part transmits the result to a code synthesizing part and the code synthesizing part transmits it to the internet server(S475).
