PURPOSE: To eliminate the coupling by electromagnetic radiation generated accompanied with miniaturization of a device. CONSTITUTION: This optical waveguide module 11 is constituted by providing the module with an optical waveguide element 13 which has an optical waveguide for introducing light waves and plural electrodes for controlling the light waves propagating within this optical waveguide, 8 pairs of connecting terminals 16 which are respectively connected via leader ends 14 to the respective electrodes in this element 13 and transmit the electric signals from outside, electromagnetic shielding walls 18 which are disposed between these connecting terminals 16 and shield the coupling by electromagnetic radiation. The coupling by the electromagnetic coupling between the respective terminals 16 is shielded by the electromagnetic shielding walls 18 disposed between the respective connecting terminals 16. Consequently, the optical waveguide module 11 which is free from malfunction and has high reliability is provided. The shielding of the coupling by the electromagnetic radiation even in case of the optical waveguide module 21 provided with plural impedance matching circuits 26 is possible as well by providing the module with the electromagnetic shielding walls 33 between the respective circuits 26. |
