The sensor includes a series of light emitting optical fibres in a cable (7) connected to a light source, and a series of optical receiver fibres (8) in a cable connected to a detector. The ends of the emitting fibres face the ends of the receiving fibres with a gap between them. A flat coding element (16) which is connected to the transducer moves in response to the measured value. The coding element carries a series of lines (22) which provide transparent and opaque sections to generate a predefined binary code by interruption of the optical signal. |
