摘要 PURPOSE: To stabilize fuel which is forcibly fed in an internal combustion engine by providing a pressure equalizing port for allowing at least one of a cylinder side discharging passages outside a discharge stroke to communicate with a cylinder side intake passage in an intake stroke. CONSTITUTION: In a distribution type fuel injection pump in a diesel engine, a plunger which is performed reciprocating motion in a radial direction by rotation of a rotor 90 through a driving shaft is displaced so as to intake and discharge fuel. Namely, fuel is intaked at the time of an intake stroke when an intake passage formed on a cylinder in which an intake port 95 is provided and an intake port 95 formed on the rotor 90 communicate with each other, and fuel is forcibly fed to a cylinder at the time of a discharge stroke when an internal rotor discharge port 94 communicates with one of cylinder side discharge passages led to the injection nozzle of each cylinder. In this case, a pressure equalizing port 105 is formed on the distribution rotor 90, the cylinder side discharge passage in which a discharge stroke is completed and remaining pressure exists communicates with the cylinder side intake passage passing the pressure equalizing port 105 so as to equalize pressure in the discharge passage.
