PURPOSE: To provide an outer rotor type DC induction motor with a cooling fan for reducing the dimensions in the axial direction of the induction motor even if the cooling fan is provided. CONSTITUTION: A DC induction motor body 3 is constituted of a stator 1 and a rotor 2 arranged around the outer periphery of the stator 1 so that it can rotate freely. An electronic component mounting substrate 5 where electronic parts 4 for driving and controlling the DC induction motor body 3 are mounted is arranged at a fixing system along with the stator 1. A speed detection means 9 is constituted of a permanent magnet 7 for detecting speed being supported at the outer periphery of a yoke 6 of the rotor 2 and a magnetic sensor 8 for outputting a signal every time when it opposes the magnetic pole of the permanent magnet 7 for detecting speed while being supported by the electronic component mounting substrate 5. A cooling fan 10 for cooling, for example, the electronic parts 4, while it is rotated by the rotation of the rotor 2 is provided. The cooling fan 10 is formed by projecting a plurality of blades 10a and 10b along the periphery direction at both edges in width direction of the annular permanent magnet 7 for detecting speed. |
