PURPOSE: To obtain an inorg.-filled polyethylene resin compsn. for a tape substrate which is excellent in tearability, surface smoothness, hand, etc., and also in incinerability. CONSTITUTION: This resin compsn. is prepd. by compounding 30-80wt.% high- pressure low-density polyethylene resin having a melt flow rate of 0.01-1g/10min and a density of 0.910-0.925g/cm<3> , 0-40wt.% polyethylene resin comprising a high-density polyethylene resin having a melt flow rate of 0.03-0.7g/10min and a density of 0.940-0.970g/cm<3> and/or a linear low-density polyethylene having a melt flow rate of 0.01-7.0g/10min and a density of 0.910-0.935g/cm<3> and produced by using a 4C or higherα-olefin as the comonomer, and 20-60wt.% surface-treated heavy calcium carbonate having an average particle size of 0.5-6μm.
