PURPOSE: To easily set a distance with high accuracy between an electric discharge wire and a discharging member. CONSTITUTION: The transfer device disposed in the copying machine equipped with a photoreceptor drum 7 and a paper feed transporting device, is provided with the electric discharge wire 24 arranged opposite to the photoreceptor drum 7, a housing 26, the discharging member 51, and a shield frame body 25. The housing 26 is provided with a pair of insulated block for supporting both end of the electric discharge wire 24, and a connecting part integrated to the both insulated block in-between the pair of insulated block. The discharging member 51 is attached to the connecting part for eliminating the electric charge of a rear surface of paper sheet. The shield frame body 25 is composed so as to surrounding the electric discharge wire 24 while provided with an opening on the side opposite to the photoreceptor drum 7, and moreover composed for supporting the housing 26.
