PURPOSE: To effectively remove nitrogen oxides by reduction using a waste gas purifying material separately formed from a catalyst carrying a specific quantity of a silver component, a catalyst carrying a copper component and a catalyst carrying a component of Pt or the like, which are carried on a porous inorganic oxide. CONSTITUTION: This waste gas purifying material for removing by reduction of the nitrogen oxides from a waste combustion gas containing nitrogen oxides and oxygen in a quantity more than the theoretical quantity of reaction with coexisting unburned components is provided with the 1st to 3rd catalysts in order from a waste gas flow-in side. The 1st catalyst is prepared by carrying 0.2-15wt.% silver and/or a silver compound or their mixture on the porous inorganic oxide and the 2nd catalyst is prepared by carrying 0.2-30wt.% copper oxide and/or copper sulfate on the porous inorganic oxide. The 3rd catalyst is prepared by carrying 0.01-5wt.% at least one element selected from a group consisting of Pt, Rd, Ru, Rh, Ir and Au on the porous inorganic oxide. |
