SPOT LIGHT AND DRIVE CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To irradiate a part on a required position with a spot light beam in an easy control manner by detecting infrared rays radiated from a remote control unit by means of each infrared ray receiving element block. CONSTITUTION: Infrared rays radiated from a remote control unit 2 held by an operator is received by each infrared receiving-element block SB, PB1, PB2, CB1, CB2 and then an infrared detection signal is outputted to a drive control part 10. The part 10 outputs a pan drive signal or stop signal to a pan drive circuit 11a according to a detection signal from each block to control a pan drive block 11 for controlling pan operation. The part 10 also outputs a tilt drive signal or stop signal to a tilt drive circuit 12a according to a detection signal to control a tilt drive block 12 for controlling tilt operation.
