PURPOSE: To provide a label surface even in a stuck optical disk and to attain label printing by providing a pattern information printing layer in an information recording area on a side opposite to the information recording layer of an optical recording carrier. CONSTITUTION: The printing layer 4 constituted of a pattern information printing area 4a and the area 4b having no pattern information is formed on a protection layer 1 on the side opposite to the information recording layer 2 constituted of ruggedness pits transferred from a master mold over the whole area of the optical recording carrier when the protection layer 1 made of poly-carbonate is molded, in the optical recording carrier. The information is recorded/ reproduced by a light spot 5 through a lens 6. At this time, the light transmissivity is made to be 60% or over, and a transmissivity difference between the areas 4a and 4b for a prescribed light wavelength is made to be 10% or below. Thus deviation in a tracking servo in the boundary between the areas 4a and 4b is eliminated, and precise reproduction is attained, and the area on which a label is stuck is secured, and the label printing become possible. |
