PURPOSE: To provide an English word learning device which enables users to completely master English words by enabling the users to make learning at every stage meeting the individual real abilities, to sufficiently recognize their own degrees of memory and to continuously learn the English words that the users do not memorize. CONSTITUTION: This English word learning device has a list forming means 10 which classifies the respective English words by the degrees of memory based on the results of the past tests written in a student information file and forms a prescribed number of word lists for memory and reviewing from the respective English words at the time of learning, an output means 11 for memory which makes screen display and voice display in order to urge the memory of the English words selected in the word list 2 for memory, an output means 15 for test which displays the correct and erroneous answers inputted at every one question by displaying the question groups of the respective English words selected in the word lits for memory and reviewing and a file correcting means 18 which rewrites the degrees of memory of the student information file 1 in accordance with the results of the tests.
