摘要 The method involves lowering the crimp stamp (14) onto the anvil to crimp the contact element sleeve and an electrode wire lying on the anvil (17). The stamp (14) is stopped for a predetermined period of time while the contact element is pressed between the stamp (14) and the anvil (17). The speed at which the stamp (14) is lowered from the start position to the lowered end position is preferably less than the return speed. The method is carried out by utilising a servomotor which moves forwards and backwards to move the crimp stamp (14) vertically up and down. A speed sampling arrangement samples the speed of the stamp (14) during its vertical movement. An arrangement for determining the position of the stamp (14) is provided. A display shows the reference speed or acceleration of the stamp and a supply current reference value. A speed controller controls the stamp lowering speed. A current controller controls the servomotor current.
