PURPOSE: To contrive reduction of labor required at the time of manufacture without need for performing electrode formation on a same plane for two times. CONSTITUTION: In a piezoelectric element 1 an inner electrode 4 separated and disposed every central position and end position along a longitudinal direction in the inside of a rectangular flat plate-like piezoelectric ceramic body 2 is formed and a signal taking-out electrode 3 is shaped on the main surface of the piezoelectric ceramic body 2. Each of the central parts 5a, 6a and ends 5b, 6b along the longitudinal direction of the piezoelectric ceramic body 2 mutually opposed through the inner electrode 4 is polarization processed every different direction along the direction of the thickness.
