<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to increase an impact sound at the time of impact of a club head by opening the greater part of the sole face of the head of a wood club. CONSTITUTION: The sole face 15 of the wood club 10 is formed with an opening in a part enclosed by broken lines. The skirt part of the head 9 is provided with a back weight 17 of a weight corresponding to the aperture of the sole face. In such a case, the back weight is freely sorted and arranged in the position backward from the centroid G of the head 9 when the direction toward the impact face 11 with the centroid G as a boundary is determined as a forward direction. The relatively wide area of a sweet spot is, therefore, settable. Further, the surface face 14 of the head 9 is formed to an approximately triangular shape with the side edge on the impact face 11 side as a base. This head 9 is integrally molded of metal molds and a recessed part in a cavity part 7a is molded by using a core.</p> |
