Thermal cut=off valve for gas pipe

The gas pipe outlet is fitted with a sealing valve element (12) with a spherical sealing surface and which is spring loaded into the sealing position. The valve is held by a mounting (11) incorporating a thermally destroyed clamp (6). When the clamp is heated to a set level it releases the mounting and the spring presses the valve into the sealing position.The mounting can be a simple clip which supports the sprung valve element and permits flow of gas around the mounting. The gas outlet can be in any orientation e.g. a gas outlet elbow. The safety valve fitting can be a simple removable fitting into the end of the gas line.
