The invention relates to a packaging apparatus, in which a film (F) continuously conveyed is fed to a film folding mechanism (5) to be folded by a folding guide (9) of the film folding mechanism (5), and both edges as folded of the film (F) are overlapped to be longitudinally sealed by a longitudinal heat seal (6a) and laterally sealed by a lateral heat seal (7a) to permit an article being packaged to be filled in continuous package bags which are compartmented by longitudinal seals and lateral seals. The packaging apparatus comprises production condition setting means (22) for inputting a production condition, which corresponds to a packaging form and a packaging specification for each model, control means (36) for selecting a by-model packaging form in accordance with the production condition for operational processing and control, storage means (37) for storing data, which correspond to the production condition, from the production condition setting means (22) or processing data, and drive means (40, 41) for performing actuation, braking, pressurizing and the like on the basis of data, which correspond to the production condition, or data read from the storage means (37).
