Wheel machining system

The wheel is worked by two tools rotating in opposing direction to balance out the tangential reaction forces on the wheel. The total reaction force on the wheel is monitored and kept below the holding force of the friction wheels which rotate the wheel in the workbench. The tool working speeds are independently regulated to maintain a balance of the reaction forces. This can be achieved by controlling the current for the individual tool motors. The normal forces onto the wheel are also kept below a safety level which does not distort the wheel.
