<p>PURPOSE: To provide a heat fixing method by which the scuffing of a fixing roll is not caused and a stable image free from image defects is formed over a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: A recording material carrying a toner image is passed between a rotating fixing roll with a coating film of silicone oil formed on the surface and a pressing roll brought into press contact with the fixing roll to fix the toner image on the recording material. In this heat fixing method, the silicone oil is fluorine-contg. silicone oil having structural units represented by the formula and the toner is a toner obtd. by adding inorg. fine particles having 5-100nm number average particle diameter and +20 to +300μC/g quantity of electric charges to colored particles consisting of at least a bonding resin and a colorant. In the formula, X is 1-4C satd. hydrocarbon or aryl, Rf is 2-10C fluoroalkyl and (n) is an integer of 1-4.</p> |
