TERMINAL MACHINING/PRESS-FIT DEVICE

PURPOSE: To machine a plurality of terminals with a single wire reel by providing a cutting part with a plurality of retention holes for retaining a terminal and a terminal press-fit part for simultaneously press-fitting a plurality of terminals into an object to be press-fitted. CONSTITUTION: A wire 1 is formed by forming punches 20 and 21 and drops into the hole of a cutting plate 26 and then hits against the upper surface of a shutter 27 and stops. The cutting plate 26 rotates and the wire 1 is cut by the cutting plate 26 and a cutter 25 and remains in the cutting plate 26 as a terminal 35. The cutting and forming are repeated until a specified number of wires is completed and then a feed roller 22 is stopped. The hole of the shutter 27 is aligned to the hole position of the cutting plate 26. Then, an ejection pin 28 is lowered and the terminal 35 in the cutting plate 26 is projected and is dropped. The terminal 35 passes through a tube 29 and drops to the upper edge of an object 34 to be press-fitted and then a slide block 31 closes. Then, the object 34 to be press-fitted rises along with a block 33 for collective press-fitting.
