Ball tap with low wear in use and high sealing action

A wear-resistant and self-sealing ball tap for a powder medium to flow through and block the flow has a metallic tap closure (3) in the tap (1) with a surface of at least 60 Shore hardness and a bearing and sealing unit (4) of a high mol. plastics, pref. of polyethylene 'PE-HMG 1000' (RTM). The closure (3) and bearing/sealing unit (4) are assembled with a gap.
