DRIVE CIRCUIT CONTROLLER FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE: To surely operate an output control circuit of a drive circuit with the supply of power from a wire for backup by stopping the operation of a troubleshooting circuit when a disconnection occurs in a power supply line for supplying power of a carried battery to a drive circuit controller. CONSTITUTION: At the time of automobile collision, power stored in a power source 9 for backup is supplied to an input/output interface 12 by a collision detecting means 10 while a control signal is outputted to the interface 12 from an output control circuit 25 by a collision detecting means 18 to operate drive circuits 31-34. When the occurrence of a disconnection in a power supply wire 24 connecting between the carried battery 1 and a drive circuit controller 4 is detected by an IG voltage monitoring circuit 16 as disconnection detecting means, a control signal is outputted to stop the operation of a troubleshooting circuit 23 from the circuit 16 and the circuit 23 is halted. This prevents the useless consumption of power, thereby, effective utilization of power of a wire 13 for backup is made possible.
